Shooting Lisa Fadden and Dale Nelson’s wedding was so much fun. Every time I hear Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” I’ll think of their great reception at the Carnegie Institution of Washington. A shout out to Alex Kovach of and her crew from Alexandra and Company for making the day run so for making the day run so smooth.

Diana Offutt and Landon Stropko were married in a self-styled wedding with the ceremony at St. Joseph’s on Capitol Hill with the reception at the Park Hyatt catered by my favorite restaurant Blue Duck Tavern.

John Paul Schnapper-Casteras and Tamara Klajn didn’t let 100 degree temperatures and no electricity put a damper on their Keswick Hall wedding near Charlottesville, VA after a series of strong thunderstorms knocked out the power in the area.

Ashley Rotanti and Michael Barraza were married at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans with the reception following at the New Orleans Museum of Art. This was my first big wedding I have covered in my new city and the first with photographer Rachel LeCour-Niesen. I can’t wait for more this year and in 2013.
